Stencil ceiling painting of St. John's Chapel sticks

The painted wooden ceiling is dated to 1499 by an inscription. It is an important and rare example of a painted Gothic wooden ceiling . It is divided by strips into narrow fields running in an east-west direction. There are very imaginatively varied ornamental strips, which are mainly made of foliage . On the east side at the ends of the fields there is openwork fish bubble tracery .
