Stöcklweingarten is a village in the market town of Treffen in the Austrian state of Carinthia . The village with 381 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) is located on the north bank of Lake Ossiach between the villages of Bodensdorf and Sattendorf .

history

Originally, the monks from Ossiach Abbey grew wine in Stöcklweingarten, as the name suggests. The name comes from “stickla” for “steep” and vineyard. Today's main source of income is tourism.
