Stübming is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Turnau in the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district in Styria .
The scattered settlement consists of the hamlet of Zwanzen, the Rotten Obere Stübming, Schröckenhof and Untere Stübming, the scattered houses Brücklergraben and Räuschinggraben as well as numerous individual layers.
history
The earliest written document is from 1307 and reads "die Stvebnik". The name goes back to the Slovenian stublo (wooden pipe, wooden pipe).
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 194 building areas with 114,164 m² and 67 gardens on 56,204 m² in the cadastral community of Stübming , in 1989/1990 there were 159 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had increased to 284 and in 2009/2010 there were 241 buildings on 334 building areas.
Land use
The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture and forestry. 639 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 4,645 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 456 hectares and 5,314 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 297 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 5,486 hectares. The average soil climate number in Stübming is 15.7 (as of 2010).
