St. Agatha and Lutger (Lückenbach)
The Catholic branch church of St. Agatha and Lutger in Lückenbach , a district of the local community Dümpelfeld in the district of Ahrweiler ( Rhineland-Palatinate ), was built in 1758. The church on Sonnenbergstrasse is a protected cultural monument .
description
The St. Agatha and St. Liudger's consecrated church is a plastered quarry stone building with a three-sided end. It is 7 m long and 3.80 m wide and has a portal on the west side. The two south-facing windows are rectangular and have modern leaded glass windows. A four-sided roof turret with a helmet sits above the gable , which is crowned by a cross with a weather vane . The roof is covered with slate and the interior is vaulted by a flat barrel.
Furnishing
The altar dates from the 18th century and has statues of St. Liudger flanked by those of St. Agatha and St. Johannes Nepomuk .
window
In 1987, three new windows were installed by the Binsfeld glass painting company in Trier . They represent St. Michael depicts killing the dragon, and St. Liudger with his attribute , the goose. The third window has an ornamental design.
