St. Andreas is a Roman Catholic church in Hungen in the district of Gießen ( Hesse ).

history

An independent Catholic parish had existed in Hungen since 1949. Today's St. Andrew's Church was consecrated on July 15, 1956.

To the north of the church is the rectory building including the sacristy . To the south is the community center .

organ

Since 2010 the church has had an organ from the Reichenstein organ building company.

Parish

In 2014, the two parishes of St. Paulus in Lich and St. Andreas in Hungen became the Catholic parish of St. Paulus and St. Andreas. The area of ​​the new parish extends over 22 localities and comprised around 5000 Catholic believers at the time of its foundation.
