The Catholic branch church St. Augustinus in Feldgeding , a district of the Bergkirchen community in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau , was originally built in the 15th century. The church at Kirchenstrasse 8, consecrated to St. Augustine , is a protected architectural monument .

architecture

The hall building has a not retracted, three-sided closed choir . The tower with a gable roof in the northern corner is, like the choir, late Gothic , probably from around 1477. It is decorated with cross-arch friezes. The three- axis nave was built in 1561 and changed in the 1670s. The church is a branch of the Bergkirchen parish .

Furnishing

The altars were created by the sculptor Adam Luidl around 1670. The picture of the church patron Augustine on the choir altar by Joseph Hauber from 1830 is flanked by figures of Saints Nicholas and New Year's Eve.

The wooden sculpture of Anna Selbdritt from around 1430 was venerated by pilgrims as a miraculous image.

The oldest leaded glass window dates from 1513. It is only 22 cm tall and shows Thomas Lämpl, the vicar of the Bergkirchen parish at the time, kneeling in front of the Mother of God.
