St. Germanus (Gundamsried)
The Catholic parish church of St. Germanus in Gundamsried , a district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm in the district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm in the Bavarian administrative district of Upper Bavaria , is located near Straßhofer Straße. The church dedicated to St. Germanus is a protected architectural monument .
description
The plastered steep gable roof building with an eastern choir tower with a steep stepped gable has a nave with a flat ceiling over a hollow valley and a choir with a ribbed vault . The nave was built around 1200 and expanded in 1931. The choir tower dates from the 15th century.
The three altars date from the 19th century, the classicist pulpit was probably created around 1800. On the walls are late Gothic carved figures: Saint Achatius (late 15th century) and Saint Germanus (early 16th century).
