Since there was no church of its own in Erkensruhr, the residents of the place always had to go to Dedenborn to visit the mass . After the Second World War , the residents tried to build their own church. This is how today's branch church was built in 1948. This was on October 9, 1949 benediziert be. At this time the place still belonged to the parish Dedenborn. Since Einruhr is easier to reach, however, Erkensruhr was re-parished to Einruhr on October 1, 1956.

Building description

St. Hubertus is a simple hall church made of quarry stone in four axes. In the east is the choir, closed on three sides, and behind it the sacristy . A square ridge turret with a tent roof rises above the west gable . The exterior is divided by three buttresses on the north and south walls. The windows are all arched.

Furnishing

The altar in the choir was made of stone by the sculptor Hans Gerhard Biermann in 1959. The stained glass windows are works by the glass painter Johannes Beeck . In addition to the engagement of Mary and Joseph, the life story of St. Hubertus.
