The church of Kirchohmfeld

The Protestant village church of St. Judas Thaddäus is in Kirchohmfeld , a district of Leinefelde-Worbis in the Eichsfeld district in Thuringia .

history

The first evidence of church bills has come down to us from the time the Protestant parish was founded in Kirchohmfeld in 1560. In 1561 the already standing church tower received the first consecrated bell . The second bell was cast in Nordhausen in 1748 .

The Kirchohmfelder Church has become a baptism , confirmation and burial church for those of Wintzingerode . The cemetery was once around the church .

Furnishing

The altar is made in the style of the peasant baroque . The altarpiece of the pulpit altar shows the Last Supper and other figures of saints as well as the Ten Commandments . The entire altar culminates in the perfection of Jesus .

Further furnishings include the baptismal angel , crucifix and the panel painting from 1615, which is supposed to show the connection of those from Wintzingerode with the Gospel .

In the summer of 1988 the organ was built into the restored prospectus .
