The Roman Catholic branch church of St. Margaretha is the village church of Heugrumbach , a district of Arnstein in the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart . The church is one of the architectural monuments of Arnstein and is registered under the number D-6-77-114-199 in the Bavarian monument list . Heugrumbach is part of the parish community "Um Maria Sondheim ".

history

The church was built around 1605. In 1882 the nave was extended.

description

The eastern church tower is a Julius Echter tower with a pointed helmet and ogival sound windows . In its basement there is the choir with groin vault and two ogival windows on the east and south sides. The sacristy is built on the north side of the choir. The nave has four window axes . The western gable is broken through by a rose window.

Furnishing

A crucifix , which was created towards the end of the 17th century, hangs in front of the eastern, colored choir window . Figures of Saint Boniface and Burkard are attached to the right and left of the choir window . To the right and left of the choir arch are figures of the church patroness Margaretha and the Mother of God .
