St. Maria in Keferloh

St. Maria is a chapel of the Roman Catholic Church in Keferloh , a district of the Upper Bavarian community Grasbrunn in the district of Munich . The chapel is dedicated to Mary, the mother of Jesus . The building is registered as a monument in the Bavarian List of Monuments .

The chapel is located next to Gut Keferloh about 150 meters east of the Romanesque Agidius Church . It was built in 1872 by the farmer from Gut Keferloh. In 1984 it came into the possession of the Grasbrunn community and was restored, and in 1985 it was re-consecrated.

The chapel is a single nave, about 4 × 3 meters in size with an apse . It is oriented approximately in the northeast-southwest direction with the entrance side in the northeast and the apse in the southwest. It has a gable roof , on the ridge of which sits a square ridge turret with a tent roof .

Inside the chapel has a barrel vault . The apse is modeled on a Lourdes grotto . An epitaph and a picture medallion of the donor hang on the side wall .
