history
A church in Aufhausen is first handed down in 1177. The right of patronage was held by the monastery of Sankt Ulrich and Afra in Augsburg . The current church was built in 1822 after the previous church was destroyed by fire.
architecture
The classical hall building has a flat ceiling and galleries in the north, west and south. In the east there is a square tower with a four-sided pyramid helmet . The sacristy is located in the basement of the tower. Above the altar is the pulpit mounted.
A special feature of the house of God is the ceiling painting with the Lamb of God .
