history

Church buildings were erected in Ittersdorf in 1703 and 1828.
Today's church was built between 1927 and 1928 according to plans by the architect Peter Marx ( Trier ), with parts of the old churches being integrated. The church underwent restoration work between 1945 and 1955 and between 1991 and 1996 .

Furnishing

Inside the church are the window paintings by H. Heyden ( Metz ).

organ

The organ of the church was built in 1901 by the Dalstein-Hærpfer company ( Boulay / Lorraine ). The instrument has ten sounding registers , distributed over two manuals and pedal , which are built into pneumatically operated pocket drawers behind the five-part housing . The console of the organ set up on a gallery is placed in the central axis of the church free-standing at a right angle in front of the case. At a room temperature of 19 ° C, the organ's pitch is 435 Hz.

The entire instrument has been preserved in its original substance, with the exception of a change in the stop action mechanism from pneumatic to electric in the 1980s. Severe signs of wear and tear, which were intensified by repairs that were sometimes not carried out properly, meant that the instrument was hardly usable. As a result, a restoration of the organ began in June 2005 .
