St. Moritz (Neuenbeuthen)
The Evangelical Lutheran , listed village church of St. Moritz is located in Neuenbeuthen , a district of Drognitz in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district of Thuringia . The church, first mentioned in 1575 as St. Mauritius et socii , was demolished and rebuilt in 1769 due to its dilapidation . The hall church is covered with a slate hipped roof from which the roof tower rises. On top of it sits a squat hood , which carries an open lantern , which is crowned with a tower ball . The church bell, cast in 1782, still strikes today . The flat-roofed interior of the nave has single-storey galleries . Your parapetsare painted red-white-blue with floral motifs, as is the pulpit altar , which dates from the time it was built. The organ with 10 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal , was built in 1906 by Adam Eifert . The church was extensively renovated in 2006.
