St. Nikolaus (Koenigsfeld)
The Catholic Church of St. Nikolaus in Königsfeld , a local parish in the Ahrweiler district in Rhineland-Palatinate , was built in 1912 while retaining parts of the old church.

The parish church in Königsfeld, St. Consecrated to Nicholas , it still has parts from the 13th century and a stately west tower. As early as 1226, King Heinrich VII transferred the rights of patronage over Königsfeld to Gerhard von Landskron .
The church was originally a three- bay basilica with a flat wooden ceiling. The tower from this time had to be partially renewed after the city fire in 1710. The old choir with the lower part of the altar also dates from the first half of the 13th century. The crypt of the Lords of Bassenheim has been located under the choir since 1602 .
The Gothic tabernacle to the left of the altar dates from the 15th century. In the former sacristy from 1497 is u. a. the Königsfelder Madonna from the first half of the 13th century is on display.
In 1912 the new main nave was built in the neo-Gothic style under the direction of the Trier architect Peter Marx .
