St. Salvator (Saasa)
The village church of St. Salvator is in the Saasa district of the city of Eisenberg in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia . It belongs to the parish Eisenberg Saasa in Kirchenkreis Eisenberg of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The village church is located in the middle of the Saasa district on the village green and south of the passing Bundesstrasse 7 Eisenberg- Jena on the federal autobahn 9 with a connection and to the west on the old town border of Eisenberg.
history
In 1259 the village church was mentioned for the first time. At that time it belonged to the Cistercian convent Petersberg near Eisenberg. The previous church was probably a chapel . The present church was consecrated in 1749.
From 1559 to 2008 the church was a subsidiary of Eisenberg.
