history

The foundation stone was laid for the church on April 28, 1896. The shell cost 55,000 marks ; the final price including the altars was 64,711.87 marks. The church is a three-aisled pseudo - basilica with cross vaults . The former altars were made in typical carpenter Gothic by Oppermann from Duderstadt. The altar on the east wall of the choir, restored by the Kruse company from Kreuzebra , is reminiscent of a high altar with its images of saints . On the walls of the choir , in the windows and under the galleries, there are additional figures of saints.

The nave was redesigned in the period from 1962 to 1970 according to the specifications of the Second Vatican Council .

tower

The church tower is still the property of the political community, which helped finance the construction with 6,000 marks. The missing sum of 10,000 marks brought the church council by the Sparkasse Duderstadt on. The youth broke off the dilapidated tower. The new tower got its current location.

Bells

The bells were both in the First and in the Second World War melted down. After the war, the church received three steel bells from the Schilling company in Apolda .
