The Catholic St. Theresa Church is located in the Westphalian Münster in the Sentrup district . It bears the patronage of St. Therese von Lisieux and has been a branch church of the parish of Liebfrauen-Überwasser since March 9, 2014 .

architecture

The brick building - hall church with a massive cross rectangular tower was built in 1956 by architect W. Schröter and 1995-1996 by the architect community Baumewerd remodeled inside. The altar created by Erwin Heerich has been moved from the higher choir to the center of the church. The entire wall of the choir was covered with a canvas on which the artist Ben Willikens painted a mural in various shades of gray. It conveys a spatial illusion and shows a sequence of rooms above a trapezoidal pit that lead to a bright gate.

Furnishing

The way of the cross , which Silke Rehberg designed with head sculptures based on the model of the actor Karl Markovics , is particularly striking .
