The Evangelical Lutheran Church Holy Trinity is in Hamma , a district of the rural community of town Heringen / Helme in the Thuringian district of Nordhausen . The parish Hamma is part of the parish area herring in Kirchenkreis Südharz the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The baroque hall church was z. Partly built from plastered rubble stone in the 17th century and rebuilt in 1768. The retracted, square choir tower is the remaining part of a previous building from the 15th century. Originally founded as a chorus serving the ground floor of the tower, are in it still remains of a cross vault exists, now serves as a sacristy . During the renovation, the tower was given an additional slate-covered floor, in which the belfry is located. On it sits a Welsche hood , which is crowned with an open lantern . The interior of the church was completely renovated in 1975.

The organ with 12 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal , was built by Julius Strobel in 1862 and restored by Gerhard Kirchner around 1950 .
