St. Veit or St. Martin (Weitisberga)
The Evangelical Lutheran listed church St. Veit or St. Martin is in Weitisberga , a district of the city of Wurzbach in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia . The parish Weitisberga belongs to the parish area Wurzbach in church circle Schleiz the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The simple hall church was built in 1650 instead of a pre-Reformation chapel . It was thoroughly renewed and expanded in 1701. The windows were enlarged to give the church more light.
In the east rises out of the slate-covered gabled roof an octagonal roof tower provided by bulbous hood is covered on the open lamp sits. Two church bells hang in the tower , the older one is from 1500, the younger one from 1992.
The interior , spanned with a wooden beam ceiling , has single-storey galleries . The church was renovated in 1882 according to a design by building officer Brecht from Rudolstadt. The inner walls were provided with stencil painting.
The church furnishings are in Neo-Renaissance forms . However, the pulpit altar is baroque . Are at it Jesus Christ and four Saints shown that were added later. The organ with eight registers , divided between a manual and a pedal , was built by Carl Lösche in 1882.
