Projects

The STAERKER project was launched with the aim of profiling the library on the Schäfersee as a permanent place of learning and culture in the Lette-Kiez in Berlin. In the period from 2012 to 2014, numerous structural and structural improvements will be made, such as the establishment of a newspaper reading corner, the expansion of the Internet offering and the expansion of the intercultural book collection. The funding came from the Berlin program BIST - Libraries in the district of the ERDF (European Regional Fund).

The POSITIV project is a contribution to the participation of children and young people of different origins in the Märkisches Viertel. To this end, the Märkisches Viertel district library is being expanded into a meeting point as well as a place for learning, events and exchanges. In addition to increasing the media inventory, in particular the bilingual books, purchasing more comfortable furniture and necessary structural measures, new target group-specific events are being designed and implemented. This project is also co-financed by the BIST program - Libraries in the District .

With the participation in the project TENIVER - Technological innovation in the information supply also from funds of the EFRE Reinickendorf introduced the self-booking of media with the help of the RFID technology.
