Hofgeismar City Museum

The Hofgeismar City Museum in Hofgeismar , a small town in northern Hesse in the Kassel district , is a local history museum that was opened in 1978. It has been located in four buildings on Petriplatz since 1986. The front building was built around 1800/1820 and, after 1875, served the dragoon regiment as a casino and officers' residence.

The Judaica department is the most important in Hesse after the collection of the Jewish Museum in Frankfurt am Main .
