Badenstedt old district cemetery is the name of the older of the two municipal cemeteries in the Lower Saxony state capital Hanover in the Badenstedt district . Location of today approximately 0.3 hectare large green area is the oak Feldstraße local.

History and description

Long before the establishment of the community hall of the Paul-Gerhard-parish in 1926, the site of today was north community center already in the early days of the German Empire was created in 1877, a first cemetery for Badenstedter inhabitants.

After the larger New Badenstedter Friedhof was laid out in 1909 , the use of the older burial site for the citizens was restricted from 1965 onwards.

Today there are still 60 graves at the cemetery complex administered by the Ricklingen city ​​cemetery. The cemetery character of the listed complex should be preserved for as long as possible by leaving the gravestones in place.
