The city traffic Eckernförde serves the public transport of the city Eckernförde ( Rendsburg-Eckernförde , Schleswig-Holstein ) with four city bus lines . The client is the city of Eckernförde.
history
The company was founded on April 1, 1927 as Großauto-Fernfahrten Hansa Kiel and carried out the first passenger transports by horse and cart there. In 1928 the first Dürkopp brand touring coach was purchased.
1957 took over Heinrich Iron city traffic in Eckernförde with three procured for this purpose Bussing - buses . At the same time, the company was renamed SE-Reisen , the location in Kronshagen with its lines remained with Autobus-Fernfahrten Hansa Kiel and was taken over by Verkehrsbetriebe Hamburg-Holstein AG (VHH) on January 1, 1972 .
The original city traffic Eckernförde was on a route Altenhof -Eckernförde- Borby - Carlshöhe performed at least since the 1930s. The route was served 13 times a day by Kraftpost . In the years after the Second World War , the concession to operate a regular city service was initially transferred from the Post to the H. Thams company from Rieseby . After the Thams concession was withdrawn in 1957 and the Bügler company became a new concessionaire, the so-called Eckernförde city bus war broke out : both companies operated the line for a while.
This was originally a line ( Kiekut -) Sandkrug - Downtown - Grass Wood was supplemented in the 1950s by a second, the first of the route Doroteenstraße in Borby - had - Downtown (Sandkrug). From 1961 it ran the Doroteenstrasse - inner city - Broosbyer Koppel and from the mid-1970s the Doroteenstrasse - inner city - Wilhelmstal route . From 1966 the first line ended in the south of the city instead of in Sandkrug in Wilhelmstal, every two hours in Kiekut.
From 1964 to 1970 the company was also a shipping company (product name: Seebäderdienst Eckernförde ). Your seaside resort ship , the MS Adriana, was based in Eckernförde. According to information from 1967, the ship was 49 meters long, 7.3 meters wide and had 240 seats inside.
In 1989, the Bügler company worked out a concept for connecting the surrounding communities, which failed due to the objection of the concession holder Autokraft. In Eckernförde there were temporarily the following line extensions from the mid-1980s, which were abandoned: Kösliner Ring - Wilhelmstal, extra connections Eckernförde company and district hospital, connection Gammelby beyond grass wood , beach line Louisenberg - Kiekut.
After a line system, partially inspired but not consistently implemented by the Eckernförde Greens' alternative transport concept for Eckernförde , was not accepted by the population, the line system with two ring lines that is still valid today was created . Lines 3 (Saturday-afternoon and Sunday ring line) and 4 (Borby − Nord - city center - Domsland) complement the two ring lines or better: Gamma lines 1 and 2 .
