Stanislaus Tobias Magombo

Stanislaus Tobias Magombo (born February 24, 1968 in Matowe Village , Traditional Authority Kachindamoto, Dedza District, Malawi ; † July 6, 2010 in Lilongwe , Malawi) was auxiliary bishop in the Diocese of Lilongwe .

Life

Stanislaus Tobias Magombo received on 3 August 1996, the sacrament of Holy Orders in Mtakataka. He was pastor in Ntcheu in 1998/99 and became rector of St. Kizito Minor Seminary in 2001 . From 2005 to 2009 Magombo was Deputy Secretary of the Bishops' Conference of Malawi (ECM) and Secretary for Pastoral Activities .

On April 29, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Caesarea in Mauretania and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Lilongwe. The Bishop of Lilongwe Rémi Sainte-Marie MAfr donated him to the episcopal ordination on July 11th of the same year in the Maula Cathedral of Lilongwe ; Co- consecrators were Tarcisius Gervazio Ziyaye , Archbishop of Blantyre , and Felix Eugenio Mkhori , Bishop Emeritus of Lilongwe.

He died after a short illness in Mtengowanthenga Hospital in Lilongwe.
