Stanislav Velický (born April 16, 1981 in Lakšárska Nová Ves ) is a Slovak football player .

Career

Velický began his career at Slovensky hodvab Senica, from where he moved to FK Dukla Banská Bystrica in 2001 . After only a year he returned to his home club to move to FK AS Trenčín after half a year . After three years in the highest Slovak league, he returned to FK Dukla Banská Bystrica. In 2008, the defensive midfielder signed a contract with the Slovak top club FC Petržalka 1898 , where he took part in the Champions League qualification.

In the qualifying games against Tampere United from Finland and Juventus Turin , he was used on home and away legs. He also made it to the first main round of the UEFA Cup with the team . FC Petržalka 1898 lost to Sporting Braga 6-0 on aggregate, with Velický receiving a yellow card in the second game. In January 2009 he moved to his first post abroad. The Slovak moved to the Austrian Bundesliga club SV Mattersburg, where he returned to his home country Slovakia after only eleven games and relegation. Velicky signed a contract with FK Senica in the summer of 2009 , which he left again in the winter of 2009/10 when he signed with Odra Wodzisław in Poland . In spring 2011 he left Cyprus and AEP Paphos, returned to Slovakia and signed for MFK Dolný Kubín. After playing in 12 league games in the second half of the 2011/2012 season, he dissolved his contract and moved to the neighboring Czech Republic for FC Vysočina Jihlava . He played 25 games as a regular player in the Druhá fotbalová liga for Jihlava before moving to Slovakia in 2012 and signing for FK DAC in 1904 in Dunajská Streda .
