Star duel

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Star Duell was a television program produced by RTL and broadcast in Germany in 2004, in which ten celebrities competed against each other in a singing competition . The performance was judged by a "music council" consisting of Nina Hagen , Caroline Beil , Roberto Blanco and Daniel Küblböck . The show host was Sonja Zietlow . Oliver Polak acted as the backstage reporter .

The Süddeutsche Zeitung described the "singing contest" in an article entitled Vocal Horror with the words " Karaoke for those with behavioral problems". The show achieved only 11 percent market share and was thus far below the audience average (approx. 17%), which is why RTL canceled the show prematurely on May 8, 2004 after the episode. About the program, "in which pseudo-celebrities who can't sing," was the headline of the industry service kress at the time: "Fortunately, RTL has realized that the catastrophic show Star Duel has no point."

The ten prominent participants were: Verona Feldbusch , Michelle Hunziker , Sarah Kern , Fabian Harloff , Stefan Bockelmann , Lucas Cordalis , Susan Sideropoulos , Christian Häckl , Olivia Jones and Dominic Boeer . The latter emerged from the show as the winner.
