Staromlyniwka ( Ukrainian Старомлинівка ; Russian Старомлыновка Staromlynowka ) is a village in the west of the Ukrainian Donetsk Oblast with about 3,300 inhabitants (2001).
The village was founded in 1779 by Greek settlers from the Crimea and was called Staryj Kermentschyk ( Старий Керменчик , in German Old Mill ) until 1947 .
Staromlyniwka is the administrative center of the same District municipality in the southwest of Rayon velyka novosilka to the still villages Wolodyne ( Володине , ⊙ ) with about 280 inhabitants, Sawitne Baschannja ( Завітне Бажання , ⊙ ) with about 510 inhabitants and Orlynske ( Орлинське , ⊙ ) with about 170 inhabitants and the settlement Kljutschowe ( Ключове , ⊙ ) with about 50 inhabitants.
The village is located near the border with Huljajpole Raion of the Zaporizhia Oblast on the banks of the Mokri Jaly (Ukrainian Мокрі Яли ), a 147 km long tributary of the Vovscha . The district center of Velyka Nowosilka is located 18 km north and the Oblast center Donetsk 100 km northeast of Staromlynivka. Territorial road T – 05–18 runs through the village .
