Stawkowe ( Ukrainian Ставкове ; Russian Ставковое Stawkowoje ) is a village in the east of the Ukrainian Odessa Oblast with about 1000 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded in 1818, was called Wejssowe ( Вейсове ) until 1945 . On August 9, 1941, it was occupied by German and Romanian troops and recaptured by the Red Army on April 1, 1944 .
Stawkowe since 2015 administratively a part of the territorial community Roskwit ( Розквітівська сільська об'єднана територіальна громада Roskwitiwska silska objednana terytorialna hromada ) in the west of Rajon Berezivka . Previously Stawkowe was the administrative center of a district municipality to which even the villages Danyliwka ( Данилівка ) Nejkowe ( Нейкове ) and Rivne ( Рівне ) belonged.
The 3.636 km² large town is located at an altitude of 111 m , 8 km north of the community center Roskwit ( Розквіт ) and 90 km north of the Odessa oblast center . Through the village runs the territorial road T-16-16 , which after 20 km in a south-westerly direction to the village of Mychajlopil and after 15 km to the east to the urban-type Rauchivka settlement and after another 10 km to the Berezivka district center .
In the village there is a bronze bust for Pavlo Weduta ( Павло Пилипович Ведута ; 1906–1987), who was in the village between 1954 and 1977 head of a leading collective farm in the region in terms of the yield of wheat and sugar beet. A museum has been set up in the village to commemorate these two-time heroes of socialist labor , three-times Lenin orders and two-time Red Banner orders. There is also a cultural center with 500 seats and a library in the village .
