The pin horn is a small elevation in the Nadelgrat , but is due to its height of 4241  m above sea level. M. counted as an independent four-thousand-meter peak. The Stecknadelhorn is located in the Valais Alps in the Mischabel mountain range between Saas Fee and Täsch and thus in the canton of Valais in Switzerland .

The first ascent was made on August 8, 1887 by Oscar Eckenstein with the guide Matthias Zurbriggen .

The pin horn is entered when crossing the needle ridge.
