Stefan Krauter (* 1963 in Göppingen ) is a German professor and entrepreneur in the field of renewable energies . His activities in teaching and research as well as in the entrepreneurial area serve to realize a sustainable energy supply globally. He has specialized in the direct conversion of light into electricity, photovoltaics (especially its system technology). He initiated and organized several congresses in Rio de Janeiro ( RIO 02/3/5/6/9/12/15 - World Climate & Energy Events ) with an attached trade fair in order to promote the vision of the UNCED Earth Summit in Rio in this area 1992 to be maintained.

Life

From 1982 to 1988 Krauter studied electrical engineering and information technology at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). From 1989 to 1993 he did his doctorate on the optical, thermal and electrical operating model of photovoltaic modules at the Technical University of Berlin (TUB) under Rolf Hanitsch , during which time he worked as a research assistant at the TUB in the electrical engineering department.

In 1996 he founded Solon AG with Paul Grunow, Saleh El-Khatib, Birgit Flore, Johannes Grosse Boymann, Alexander Voigt and Wuseltronik GbR Research and Development ( Reiner Lemoine , Stefan Fütterer, Peter Fischer, Martin Sauter, Jürgen Hiller) , which in 1998 was the first company for solar technology in Germany to be listed on the stock exchange and has been listed in the TecDAX since 2006 under ISIN DE0007471195.

In 1998 he was at the Technical University Berlin on the energy balance of solar photovoltaic power generation plants, taking into account the reduction of anthropogenic CO 2 emissions habilitation . From 1998 to 2005 he was a visiting professor for alternative energies at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ-COPPE-EE) and at the State University of Ceará (UECE) in Brazil . In 1999 he founded Riosolar Ltda in Rio de Janeiro, a company for the planning, installation and operation of photovoltaic energy supply systems. In 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2012 and 2015 he organized the RIO - World Climate & Energy Events (climate protection through sustainable energies) and the Latin America Renewable Energy Fair (LAREF, German: Latin American fair for renewable energies) . In 2005 he organized a People's University for Sustainability & Energy in Fortaleza , Brazil . From 2005 to 2010 he was an adjunct professor for photovoltaic energy systems at the Technical University of Berlin . In 2006 he founded the Photovoltaik-Institut Berlin AG ( PI-Berlin AG ) together with Paul Grunow, Sven Lehmann and Jürgen Arp . From 2008 to 2010 he was professor for photovoltaic energy systems at Biberach University . Since 2010 he has been a professor and chair holder for electrical energy technology - sustainable energy concepts at the University of Paderborn .
