The murder of Stefan Lamprecht

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The unsolved murder of 13-year-old Stefan Lamprecht between August 2 and 8, 1995 in Berlin is referred to as the Stefan Lamprecht murder case .

facts

Stefan Lamprecht was born on April 20, 1982 in the GDR , but lived with his mother and sister in Kiel before the fall of the Wall . During parts of the summer vacation in 1995, he stayed with his father and grandmother in Berlin on July 16. They lived in the Prenzlauer Berg district on Seelower Straße, near the Schönhauser Allee underground and suburban railway station . After he had forgotten his bathing suit some time before after swimming with a friend in the Pankow outdoor pool, he wanted to pick them up from him. To do this, he left his grandmother's apartment at around 3:00 p.m. on August 2, went to his friend's house and again left his apartment with the swimming gear packed in a white plastic bag at around 4:15 p.m. He was last seen there.

Since Stefan was considered very reliable and he wanted to go night fishing with him, his father reported missing persons in the late evening hours. Stefan Lamprecht's body was found on Tuesday, August 8th, while unloading household rubbish from Berlin from a railroad car at the Schöneiche landfill near Mittenwalde . Since Stefan's body was found without his clothes, which consisted of short, light blue faded jeans, a green sleeveless T-shirt and sandals, and with numerous knife wounds, including in the abdomen, it is assumed that it was a sex murder .

Clothing and bathing suits were not found. The investigation has remained unsuccessful to this day. It is unclear which means of transport the 1.54 meter tall, slender boy used to cope with the 2.5 km long way from Seelower Strasse to Sellinstrasse. He may have walked or used public transport along Schönhauser Allee or Berliner Straße between Pankow and Prenzlauer Berg , such as the tram . Since there were no other contacts within Berlin, it is assumed that the perpetrator met by chance, but who may have played out or shared his sadistic fantasies beforehand. Even so, it is conceivable that the killer could be socially integrated, inconspicuous, safe, and confident. Because Stefan Lamprecht was helpful, it is possible that he was asked for a favor. Since he already smoked, it is also conceivable that the contact came about in this way. It is noticeable that his corpse had a significant blood alcohol concentration, even though he did not drink. Forcible administration is also conceivable here. Presumably the boy was in a quiet place in the hands of his murderer for some time. Based on finds in the garbage truck, it is assumed that his body was thrown into the household waste in the Schönhauser Allee / Berliner Strasse area.

An interim storage is also conceivable, since the entire corpse was coated with brown coal residues like a panad, which could indicate a corresponding deposit. It is also noticeable that the garbage bags on the body tended to act more as clothing than packaging material, which makes a relationship between the perpetrator and the material appear conceivable.

reception

The case received media coverage that lasted for years.
