Stefan Lottermann
Stefan Lottermann (* 1965 in Heidelberg ) is a German modern jazz trombonist .
Lottermann, who lived in Offenbach for a long time , received trombone lessons at the Mainz Conservatory from 1973. He continued his studies at the Cologne University of Music with Jiggs Whigham . From 1990 to 1995 he played in the Franco-German jazz ensemble under Albert Mangelsdorff (whose style influenced him) and Jean-Rémy Guédon . In 1991 he won the youth jazz competition ; In 1992 he received a work grant from the city of Frankfurt am Main. In that year he became a member of Heinz Sauer's quartet (album lost ends , 1993). Then he played in projects by Gabriele Hasler , Wollie Kaiser (1995), Jan von Klewitz (1995), Ed Schuller , Ekkehard Jost and the Frankfurt Jazz Bigband . He has been a member of the NDR Bigband since 1998 . Since 2006 he has also been a permanent member of the hr jazz ensemble , in which he has occasionally played since the early 1990s.
Bruno Lottermann-Paulot is his father.
