Stefan Nippes (born October 19, 1986 ) is a former German handball player .

Career

Stefan Nippes started with handball at SG Solingen , and from 2006 he played at Bergischer HC in the 2nd handball league . In 2008, the 1.98 meter tall goalkeeper moved to the second division promoted Leichlinger TV , where he broke his shin in November 2008 during a game against SG BBM Bietigheim . After Nippes stood between the posts at TUSEM Essen in the 2009/10 season , he returned to Leichlinger TV in the summer of 2010, who had been relegated from the 2nd division and started in the newly created 3rd division . In 2011 Stefan Nippes broke his shin again, this time while jogging on New Year's Day . In 2013 he left Leichlingen and joined the league competitor VfL Eintracht Hagen , from which he moved to the Bundesliga relegated TV Emsdetten in 2014 . From summer 2015 he was under contract at HSG Krefeld . Nippes ended his career in 2019 due to an injury and took over the post of sporting director at HSG Krefeld.

Others

Stefan Nippes' brother Kristian is also a handball player. The left-hander is under contract with Bergischer HC and plays in the Bundesliga .
