criticism

During his work as head of the Esterházy Foundations and Companies, Ottrubay was repeatedly criticized. The Esterházy family distanced themselves from Ottrubay several times.

In the cultural field, he was accused of wanting to bring all attractions in Burgenland that are culturally successful under his control. In the most recent trial, however, the province of Burgenland was convicted of paying back unlawfully withheld cultural funding.

The expiry of leases was repeatedly used as a means of pressure. First reports reveal high losses in recent years.

There was further criticism during the economic activities in Romania.

After an apparently intra-family feud between Stefan Ottrubay and his sisters over the residence of their mother Magdolna (88), where more than 100 officers were on duty, the public prosecutor examined whether to offset the deployment costs.
