Stefan Smiljanič (born July 10, 1991 in Subotica , SFR Yugoslavia , today Serbia ) is a Slovenian football player .

Career

Smiljanič started his career at NK Olimpija Ljubljana . In September 2010 he made his debut for the pros in the Prva Liga when he was in the starting line-up against NK Domžale on matchday eight of the 2010/11 season and was replaced by Peter Stojanovič in the 84th minute . A month later he scored his first goal in the Prva Liga against NK Nafta Lendava .

In January 2012 Smiljanič moved to Spain for the fourth division UD Almansa . In the summer of 2012 he moved to England for the reserve team from Leicester City . In October of the same year he joined the German regional league team Hannover 96 II . After 15 goalless games, he moved to Greece for the 2013/14 season for the second division club Doxa Dramas .

In February 2015 he came to Serbia to the second division club FK Jedinstvo Putevi . After only two games, he left the Serbs in the summer of 2015. After being out of a club for over six months, he returned to Slovenia in March 2016, where he joined the second division club NK Dob . However, he only stayed with Dob for a short time; After just four games, he moved to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the summer of 2016 for the first division club NK Metalleghe-BSI . After seven games in which he scored a goal, he left the Bosnians in January 2017.
