Tuss started Nordic skiing at the age of six. In 2002 he made his international debut in FIS races . From January 2005 he started in the B-World Cup of Nordic Combined. At the German Championships 2005 in Hinterzarten , Tuss was junior champion in the Gundersen singles and also won silver behind Toni Englert in the junior sprint. At the Junior World Championships in 2006 in Kranj , he won the gold medal with the team. He finished 7th in the sprint and 6th in the Gundersen. On December 3, 2006, he made his debut in the Nordic Combined World Cup in Lillehammer . At the Junior World Championships 2007 in Tarvisio , Tuss won the silver medal in the team. In the sprint he reached 15th place. In December 2007 he succeeded in Trondheim for the first time reaching the points. After further good results, he finished the 2007/08 season in 52nd place in the overall World Cup ranking. In the Sprint World Cup overall ranking, he finished 39th. At the Junior World Championships 2008 in Zakopane , Tuss managed to win the gold medal once again as part of the team. After he was no longer able to build on his achievements, he was transferred to the B squad and has since started in the Continental Cup. After the 2010/11 season he ended his career.
