Stefanie Harjes
Stefanie Harjes (* 1967 in Bremen ) is a German illustrator .
Life
Stefanie Harjes studied illustration and painting in the design department at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and in Prague. Since 1994 she has been working in the Hamburg studio community Überm Wind . As a freelance illustrator, she works primarily for book and magazine publishers. Her work has received several awards, for example she and Karla Schneider received the Austrian Children's and Young Adult Book Prize in 2005 for The Houses of Selma Khnopff . From 2007 she had a teaching position for book illustration at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, in 2009 she was awarded the Hamburg Teaching Prize, which was awarded for the first time.
