Stefanie Martini (* 6. October 1990 in Bristol , England as Lorna Michelle Stefanie Martini ) is a British actress .

Life

Stefanie Martini grew up in North Somerset . From 2002 to 2009 she attended Churchill Academy and Sixth Form in Churchill, Somerset. After graduation, she took part in the year-long Made in Bristol theater project at the Bristol Old Vic Theater . From 2012 she studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), graduating in 2015 with a BA (Hons) .

She had her first television role in 2016 as Georgina Mortmaigne in the episode Tödlicher Duft ( Prey ) in the crime series Der Junge Inspektor Morse ( Endeavor ). In 2016, she played his niece Mary Thorne in the three-part television film Doctor Thorne with Tom Hollander in the title role.

2017 she played the lead role of Woman Police Constable (WPC) Jane Tennison in the six-part British miniseries Prime Suspect 1973 , a prequel to the series Prime Suspect ( Prime Suspect ), in which Helen Mirren the role of Jane Tennison embodied. In the Agatha Christie film version The crooked house ( Crooked House ) she was in 2017 on the side of Glenn Close to be seen as her great-aunt Lady Edith de Haviland in the role of Sophia de Haviland. In 2018 she played the role of Phyllis Lambert in the war drama Hurricane - Battle of Britain (2018) by director David Blair with Iwan Rheon . For the fourth season of the series The Last Kingdom , she was signed in 2019 as Eadith, lover of Aethelred von Merzien.
