Stefanie Reich-Schupke

Stefanie Reich-Schupke (born 1977 ) is a German doctor , university professor and specialist author.

Life

After graduating from the Marie-Curie-Gymnasium in Recklinghausen , Reich-Schupke studied medicine in Bochum and Switzerland. Her interest in dermatology became evident during her further training at the Ruhr University . In 2004, Reich-Schupke did his doctorate with Peter Altmeyer . Her dissertation with the title Efficacy of Extracorporeal Photopheresis in Progressive Systemic Scleroderma and Atopic Dermatitis , taking special course parameters into account , received the overall grade "good".

Until 2013, Reich-Schupke worked as an assistant and senior physician at the Clinic for Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology in Bochum , then she moved to the Artemed specialist clinic in Bad Oeynhausen as chief physician . Reich-Schupke has been working at the Bochum Vein Center, one of the largest care facilities for people with venous diseases in the Ruhr area, since 2017 .

In January 2017, Reich-Schupke received an endowed professorship for phlebology . With this, a chair for this subject was brought back to life after 13 years. The last professor in Germany was Volker Wienert , who had taught at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen . Reich-Schupke is a member of the German Society for Phlebology (DGP). She is active in several working groups, in guideline coordination and on the advisory board of the DGP, and in 2016 she was the congress president of the 58th annual meeting of this specialist society. She is also involved in the German Dermatological Society (DDG) , the German Society for Lymphology (DGL) and the International Compression Club founded by Hugo Partsch . In addition to her own extensive journalistic activities, Reich-Schupke is a member of the scientific advisory board or the editorial board of various specialist journals. These include Derm , Vasomed and Phlebology , the official organ of the DGP.
