Steffen Irlinger

Steffen Irlinger (born March 6, 1967 in Eberbach / Neckar ) is a German DJ, musician , radio play author and music consultant.

Life

He started his career in 1989 as a DJ. While studying theater, film and television studies at the Ruhr University in Bochum , he developed the program Treibhaus for the WDR station 1 Live and became one of the protagonists of the techno / house boom in Germany. Since 1999 he has recorded five albums with the electronic pop duo Donna Regina . Since 2001 he has been working primarily as a radio play author and as a freelance music consultant for film, television and radio. In 2010 his radio play Retrotopia was part of the Sounds exhibition at NBK / Berlin. In 2017 he worked as a music consultant for the exhibition Night Fever at the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein. Steffen Irlinger lives and works in Cologne.
