occupation

Scherschepark is a German film adaptation based on the novel Scherbenpark by Alina Bronsky , directed by Bettina Blümner from 2013.

action

17-year-old Sascha has only one goal in mind: She wants to kill her stepfather Vadim. She wants retaliation for what he did to her and her family. Vadim shot her mother in front of Sascha and her two little siblings. Sascha lives in an ugly high-rise estate and has her very own way of dealing with the trauma of her mother being killed by her stepfather. She promptly goes on the offensive when an article is published in the newspaper that puts her mother's murderer in a positive light. Furious, she confronts the editor in charge. As compensation, he offers her his house as a temporary place to stay, whereupon a love triangle develops between Sascha, the journalist and his son Felix.

criticism

“The adaptation of the debut novel of the same name by Alina Bronsky focuses entirely on the main character, who is well played. Even if clichés are not completely avoided in the authentic scenario, the film convinces with lifelike dialogues and the sensitive direction. "
