Alberigo Albano Tuccillo (born February 27, 1955 in Rovereto , Italy ) is an Italian- Swiss writer who writes in Italian and German.

Life

Tuccillo was born in Rovereto as the son of a police officer ( Carabiniere ) and a medical practice assistant . A few years after his father's emigration to Switzerland, the family also followed to Olten , where Tuccillo attended elementary school and learned German. After 1975 at the Cantonal School in Aarau the Matura had taken, he studied at the University of Basel Philosophy , Italian and German Linguistics . Since 1981 Tuccillo has been teaching German and Italian at the kvBL training center in Muttenz , where the former secondary school was run. From 1992 to 2005 he was a lecturer in creative writing at the adult education center and senior university in Basel . From 1998 to 2005 he was a lecturer at the Literaturhaus Basel .

Tuccillo is married with two sons and lives as a freelance writer and teacher in Binningen . He is a member of the AdS (authors in Switzerland), the German-Swiss PEN Center , the Società Dante Alighieri (Sezione di Basilea, Basel section) and the ASIS (Associazione scrittori di lingua italiana in Svizzera).
