Steinfederpreis

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The international Steinfeder Prize for wine journalism has been awarded by the Wachau winegrowers' association Vinea Wachau Nobilis Districtus since 1986 .

The prize is awarded annually to an Austrian or internationally active publicist, who is determined by the board of the association. The price is named after the grass type Steinfeder , which grows in the vineyards of the Wachau and also gave its name to a quality category of Wachau wines. The laureate receives a Steinfeder bush and a collection of 72 bottles of Wachau Smaragd wines .
