Stepanivka Perscha ( Ukrainian Степанівка Перша ; Russian Степановка Первая Stepanowka Perscha ) is a village in the south of the Ukrainian Oblast of Zaporizhia with about 1200 inhabitants (2004).
The village, founded in 1862, is the administrative center of the eponymous, 58.16 km² district council in Pryasowske Rajon , to which the village of Myroniwka ( Миронівка ⊙ ) with about 350 inhabitants belongs.
Stepaniwka Perscha located east of Molotschna - Liman on the shore of the Azov Sea 38 km southwest of Rajonzentrum Pryasowske , 55 km south of Melitopol and 180 km south of the Oblastzentrum Zaporizhia .
Personalities
The Ukrainian writer and winner of the Taras Shevchenko Prize Dmytro Mishchenko ( Дмитро Олексійович Міщенко ) was born there on November 18, 1921 .
