Stephan von Wohlleben
Stephan Edler von Wohlleben (* 1751 in Vienna ; † July 30, 1823 there ) was an Austrian civil servant and mayor of Vienna .
Von Wohlleben joined the City of Vienna at the age of 20 and quickly rose to higher positions. In 1801 he was raised to the hereditary Austrian nobility as "Edler von". From October 30, 1804 he took over the office of mayor of Vienna, which he held until his death. During his term of office, Vienna was badly affected by the French occupations in 1805 and 1809. The resulting national bankruptcy caused great burdens for the city through police duties and poor relief.
In 1801 was in Vienna's 4th district Wieden the Wohllebengasse named after him.
