Stephan Falser

Stephan Falser (born August 30, 1855 in Innsbruck , Tyrol ; † March 19, 1944 there ) was an Austrian lawyer and politician ( CSP ).

Life

Stephan Falser was the son of Marie and Karl Ritter von Falser. After attending elementary school and high school in 1874, he passed the Matura . He then studied at the University of Innsbruck Law and a PhD 1878th

In the next 22 years, up to the turn of the century, Falser was a judge at several civil courts in Tyrol and Vorarlberg . Around 1900 he went to Vienna , where in 1902 he became a member of the Administrative Court (VwGH). From 1912 to 1918 he held the position of Senate President at the VwGH. After Falser was a member of the Reichsgericht from 1917 to 1920 , he was a judge at the Constitutional Court from 1922 to 1930 .

In December 1920 Falser became a member of the Federal Council . He was a member of Austria's second parliamentary chamber until June 1926.

Private

In 1885 Falser married Adelheid Hammer (sister of the art historian Heinrich Hammer ). The couple had three sons and three daughters.
