Political positions

Prenatal blood tests

On September 19, 2019, the Federal Joint Committee finally discussed the application possibilities and limits of prenatal blood tests for pregnant women, the so-called non-invasive molecular genetic tests (NIPT), at the expense of the statutory health insurance (GKV). The resolution provides that a NIPT can be reimbursed in justified individual cases and after medical advice using information for the insured. On the occasion of this decision, Stephan Pilsinger asked parents of underage disabled children to give more support and relief. According to Stephan Pilsinger, the public should be made aware that a child with a disability is unique in nature and therefore represents an enrichment rather than a burden. Together with the health working group of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group, Stephan Pilsinger demands in a position paper that better conditions be created for families with disabled children. In addition, clear financial and social support should also be made available.

Duogynon

The Duogynon issue is a suspected drug scandal that has not yet been resolved. To clarify this, a non-factional technical discussion was arranged with 26 MPs on the initiative of Stephan Pilsinger. As a result, a letter of complaint was written to the Federal Chancellor . The CSU politician and doctor criticized in this joint letter that he could not understand why the federal government has so far remained inactive in this case. Stephan Pilsinger is committed to achieving a comprehensive and complete clarification of the Duogynon cases at government level in Germany and to obtain compensation for those affected.

Organ donation

In the discussion about the double contradiction solution, Stephan Pilsinger and Annalena Baerbock were one of the initiators of a counter-proposal for a voluntary decision solution . In it, he demanded, among other things, that in future all people in Germany should be asked about their willingness to donate organs when extending their identity card and from their family doctor. He rejected the contradiction solution for ethical reasons, as he was of the opinion that a failure to comment could not be automatic consent. This counter-proposal to the extended decision solution was adopted in the Bundestag on January 16, 2020 with a clear majority.
