Stephan von Soden

Stephan von Soden (born January 31, 1974 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German theater actor .

Life

Stephan von Soden initially trained as a hotel manager and worked as a bartender . From 1998 to 2001 he attended the drama school of the Theaterwerkstatt Mainz . After completing his training, he initially had guest engagements at the Nordhausen Theater and the Mainz State Theater .

From 2003 he was part of the ensemble of the Uckermärkische Bühnen Schwedt , where he appeared in almost thirty productions by the end of the 2008/09 season. There he played numerous classical stage roles such as Ferdinand , Templar Lord , Petruchio / Gremio , Horatio , Junker Bleichenwang , Master Abraham Slender , Siebel . He was also used extensively as an actor in children's and youth theater. In the 2006/07 season he took on the leading role in the Christmas fairy tale Return to the Emerald City . In May 2009 he played Mephisto in the new Faust production by Gösta Knothe in the Chorin monastery church . In July 2009 he had his last appearance as a member of the ensemble on the Schwedt theater stage with the title role in the play The Story of Bonnie and Clyde . In 2009 he was awarded the title “Actor of the Year” by the Uckermärkische Bühnen Association. In September 2009 he appeared again in the tabloid comedy Tom, Dick and Harry by Ray and Michael Cooney at the Uckermärkische Bühnen Schwedt.

From the 2009/10 season, von Soden was a permanent member of the ensemble at the ETA Hoffmann Theater in Bamberg until the summer of 2013 . He played there u. a. in the musical Victor / Victoria , the Major Tellheim in Minna von Barnhelm (premiere: 2009/10 season, with a guest performance at the Bavarian Theater Days, among others), the student Lohmann in Professor Unrat (2010/11 season), the main role of the jealous archdeacon Claude Frollo (at the side of Karoline Bär as Esmeralda) in the Der Hunchback of Notre-Dame (2011), the Chekhov'schen Iwanow (season 2012/13) and appeared in July 2013 as knight Wilhelm von Wedel in From time to time at the "Calderon Festival" in the old court .

He was also part of the cast of the Tom Waits musical Woyzeck (based on Georg Büchner) and took part in the musical Der Mann von La Mancha . In the 2015/16 season he played the male lead of the film critic Allan Felix at the Bamburg Theater in a stage version of the Woody Allen classic Mach's again, Sam .

In 2014, in the MDR television series In all friendship , Klaus Nickel took on an episode role as investigative police commissioner.

Since 2014 von Soden has been running a trendy café with a garden in the west of Leipzig in the Lindenau district together with a business partner .
