Stephanie Baczyk

Stephanie Baczyk (born December 11, 1986 in Hanover ) is a German sports journalist and reporter .

Life

Baczyk studied social sciences at the University of Cologne and culture and media management at the KMM Hamburg - Institute for Culture and Media Management . After completing her studies, she worked as an intern in the sports department of the Bild newspaper and as a freelancer for the sports information service . This was followed by a traineeship at Antenne Niedersachsen ; after the end of this she was active as a young editor for the "Morning Show" and presenter for the station.

Baczyk has been working as a sports reporter for radio and television productions for Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg since spring 2015 . At RBB, she mainly comments on football broadcasts for women and men. For the sports show , she was a reporter at the women's soccer world championships in 2015 and 2019 as well as the 2017 women's European soccer championship . She received high praise on social media for her live coverage of the 2019 Women's World Cup; Florian Weiß from Focus Online described her as the "biggest winner of the 2019 Women's World Cup". For the 2019/20 season, Baczyk was the Bundesliga commentator for the Sportschau.
